When you’re ready to start building, the best place to start is with the foundation which is PHASE 2 of our Construction Process. Everything else sits on the foundation so if you skip going down and get busy building up, you’ll have to start over eventually. At The Connection, we want to take plenty of time to help you lay a solid foundation to build an amazing life on.
Foundations for Growing is a class that teaches you how to have a strong foundation; we believe the key foundational areas of your life are your:
- Spiritual Growth
- Relational Growth
- Mental Growth
- Physical Growth
We call these our four spiritual walls and everybody in the church family is encouraged to be intentionally growing deeper in each of these areas. We set goals so that our lives become more like Jesus and ask Him to empower us to grow, and guess what?, we’re seeing God transform lives by this intentional strategy.
Now, all of us can set goals, and probably have—but how do you see a goal turn into reality? That is where our Foundation Crews come in; Just like a Foundation Crew building a house would be a group of people working to lay a foundation, a Foundation Crew at The Connection is a group of people who are working together on growing a deep foundation in these four areas. We believe that if Jesus could really only pastor and disciple twelve people, we probably can’t do a whole lot more so The Connection has one pastor for about every 12-13 adults. These Foundation Pastors are normal, godly guys being trained who are committed to praying for you every day and doing everything they can to ensure you are solid and growing; with this structure, we desire that no one gets missed; when you are going through a struggle, you’ll have a pastor who knows you and will walk beside you. We currently have around 80% of our adults in a Foundation Crew which is unprecedented. Once you have a strong foundation, you are ready to start building!
