Part 4: The Kingdom Inaugurated

1. Jesus inaugurated His Kingdom in the power of the Spirit. Luke 4:18, 21
2. The Kingdom is defined by Scripture (Isaiah’s Vision).  Luke 4:14-21
   1. Spirit anointed, not self-appointed.
   2. Brings Good News to the poor.
   3. About release, not moral improvement.
   4. Restores sight to the blind.
   5. Frees the oppressed.
   6. Announces God’s favor; omits judgment. 
3. The Kingdom offends familiarity and entitlement. Lk 4:22-30
4. The Kingdom operates with authority that frees and restores. Luke 4: 31-41
   1. Jesus frees and protects us from demonic affects.
   2. Jesus restores us physically and emotionally.
5. The Kingdom advances by prayer, not comfort or control. Luke 4:42-44
